Remi, Samantha, Suzanne and Natalie had the pleasure of visiting the newly refurbished Cape Grace, a Fairmont Managed Hotel in the heart of Cape Town. Some call her the ‘Queen of Cape Town’ the hotel is located in the vibrant V&A Waterfront, this iconic hotel has always been synonymous with luxury, and after the recent refurbishments, it’s safe to say that it has surpassed even the highest of expectations.

A stunning entrance

From the second we stepped into the reception area, we were greeted by a space that seamlessly blends modern elegance with authentic South African charm. The hotel’s commitment to showcasing local culture is immediately evident in the stunning artworks that adorn the walls. These pieces, crafted by talented local artists, tell the story of Cape Town’s rich heritage and embrace its natural wonders. It was inspiring to see such beautiful art integrated into the hotel’s design, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is both sophisticated and yet still has some original Cape Grace elements.

Chill by the relaxing pool area

One of the highlights of our visit was the hotel’s pool bar and deck area. This outdoor space is a true oasis. The pool bar serves an array of refreshing cocktails, perfect for sipping while you soak in the sun or unwind after a day of exploring the city. The deck is spacious, with comfortable loungers and stylish seating areas that invite guests to relax and enjoy the serene setting.

Some delicious treats

After our tour, we were treated to a delightful selection of pastries and freshly brewed coffee in The Library Room. The pastries, crafted by the hotel’s skilled pastry chefs, were a perfect balance of flavor and texture, showcasing both local ingredients and international flair.
