Go Tourism’s team recently visited the Protea Hotel Pelican Bay Hotel in Walvis Bay (Namibia), part of Marriott Hotels Group. The hotel boasts 48 rooms of which 2 are luxurious suites (junior and Presidential). The breakfast area is a mere 2 minutes’ walk from the main area and the staff is very friendly and welcoming as Go Tourism’s team witnessed a group of German visitors checking in.
Situated in close proximity to Dune 7 (one of Namibian most kept secrets), location is perfect as it overlooks one of the most important wetland areas on the African Coastline, namely the Walvis Bay Lagoon which was declared a Ramsar Site to ensure that its protection is guaranteed by the Namibia Government. With the lush gardens portraying an extra sense of freshness and pristine, the rooms are equipped with Satellite Television, air conditioning, mini bar; some of them have beautiful view of the lagoon where guests can see an abundance of majestic flamingos and pelicans on the bay…
