Flight to Johannesburg.

Day 2: Johannesburg  > Kapama Private Game Reserve

On arriving at Johannesburg, you will be met by our local representative which will hand over your travel documents and assist you with your flight to Hoedspruit. From there, you will be transferred to your Kapama Private Game Reserve.

Once you have checked in for two nights, you will go for your first game drive and be able to observe the Big Five (Elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard) within the reserve.

Accommodation: Kapama River Lodge or similar. 

Day 3: Kapama Private Game Reserve

Enjoy your day at the reserve joining activities/ relaxing and going onto two game drives (morning and afternoon).

Suggested activities: Visit a cheetah rehabilitation centre

Accommodation: Kapama River Lodge or similar. 

Day 4: Kapama Private Game Reserve > Hoedspruit > Cape Town

After your last safari, you will be transferred to Hoedspruit airport and fly to Cape Town where you will collect your new vehicle and drive to your hotel.

Accommodation: Garden Court de Waal or similar.

Days 5 & 6 : Cape Town

Camp Jabulani

During these three coming days, you will discover the great multi-cultural city of Cape and its surroundings with its fascinating history and natural beauty. Just walk on the streets, visit museums and art galleries, go up to Table Mountain to enjoy the view or join one of the many activities available.

We suggest you take a day to visit the Cape Peninsula: Boulders’ Beach, its natural reserve, go on a boat cruise in Hout bay or False Bay, watch whales in winter, go for a fantastic seafood experience at one of the renowned places etc. Explore the natural side of the city!

 

Another day visit:  Cape wine route! Visit Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, learn about the History of this area dedicated to wine. Gourmet food and grand cru are on the list!

Day 7: Cape Town > Windhoek

After a last walk around the city, you will drive to the airport for your flight to Windhoek, Namibia! Collect your car and drive to your hotel to relax.

Day 8: Windhoek > Swakopmund > Walvis Bay

+/- 400 km / 5h10

You will drive to Swakopmund and visit the oldest seaside resort in Namibia. Built in 1892, it is nowadays the biggest resort in Namibia where people like coming to relax and chill out.

You will then go to Walvis Bay for the night.

Accommodation: Pelican Bay hotel or similar.

Day 9: Walvis Bay > Kuiseb Canyon > Solitaire

+/- 240 km / 3h30

You will discover the famous Welvitchia Mirabilis, a botanical curiosity located exclusively in the foggy

area of the Namib Desert. Some specimens are over 1,500 years old!

You will then travel through the stark Naukluft Mountains and the Kuiseb Canyon.

Suggested activity: Star Safari (Walk in the Namib Desert at sunset/ sunrise)

Suggested activity: Agro-tourism (Visit and/or sleep in one of the oldest farms in Namibia)

Accommodation: Solitaire Guest Farm or similar. 

Day 10: Solitaire > Sossusvlei > Maltahole

+/- 350 km / 5h20

You will not regret waking up early today: you will have breakfast while catching sunrise over the Sossusvlei sand dunes. Some of the shifting dunes are as high as 325 meters and are coloured in shades of pale orange to bright red … Sossusvlei is a huge clay pan, enclosed by gigantic mountains of sand punctuated by skeletons of ancient camel-thorn trees.

You will then board on a 4 x 4 vehicle to reach one of the strangest sites of Sossusvlei: Dead Pan. You will climb to the top of one of the dunes and enjoy the magnificent views.

You will continue your trip via the Sesriem Canyon: this is a 30 m deep canyon carved through layers of conglomerate by the Tsauchab River.

Day 11: Maltahole > Kalahari

+/- 240 km / 3h30

You will take the road to Mariental on the edge of the Kalahari Desert. Ancestral land of the Bushmen , the 900,000sq km  Kalahari desert is a large semi-arid sandy savannah , covering much of Botswana and parts of Namibia and as well as South Africa. This desert is characterized by its alternation of dry and longitudinal sections of red dunes and semi-arid valleys which gives to its landscapes a fantastic contrast of colors.

Day 12: Kalahari > Windhoek > Maun > Okavango Delta

You will drive to Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Nama, Herero, German, Afrikaans, and British cultures have influenced the growth and development of the city and as a result the German colonial styled houses stand alongside with modern buildings.

Your next flight will take you to Maun, Botswana! From there you will be transferred by air taxi to Okavango Delta.

Drop your luggage in your room and start to explore the reserve!

Day 13: Okavango Delta

Enjoy your relaxing day in the reserve, joining activities: boat safari, bush walk, mokoro trip (kayak) at sunset, fishing… plenty of activities to choose from.

Day 14: Okavango Delta Q Kasane – Chobe National Park

After your last activity, you will be transferred Kasane airport and will be met by a member of the staff to take you to your lodge. We will go on a game drive in Chobe National park to discover its fantastic landscapes and fauna later in the afternoon.

Accommodation: Chobe Safari Lodge or similar. 

 

Day 15: Chobe National Park

You will keep exploring this fascinating national park and enjoy activities offered at the lodge.

Suggested activity: Get a Massage in the Bush

Accommodation: Chobe Game Lodge or similar.

Day 16: Chobe National Park > Victoria Falls

You will go on a boat cruise on Chobe River and will be transferred to Zimbabwe to your hotel, nearby Victoria Falls.

Suggested activity: Boat cruise on Zambeze River at sunset

Accommodation: A‘ Zambezi River Lodge or similar

Day 17 : Victoria Falls

Enjoy your day at Victoria Falls. Plenty of activities to choose from with a splendid landscape on the back ground.

Suggested activity: Helicopter trip above the falls

Suggested activity: Bungee jump above the falls

Day 18: Victoria Falls > Johannesburg > Home

You will be transferred to the airport for your connection flight to Johannesburg.
